Knightley was chosen to play Queen Amidala's decoy in Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace because of her close resemblance to Natalie Portman, who played the Queen. Many people (including their mothers) had trouble telling them apart during the filming of The Phantom Menace.
I always mix them up! Really they have got to be separated at birth!!
i think natalie is wayyyy prettier. she just seems more feminine. keira tends to look like a man to me for some reason.

Mmmm.... really? Are you kidding? If you think that, either you are almost blind or it's just somethig you want to believe for some reason. They are sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo different. For God's sake, the look of their eyes are totally different, I mean TOTALLY!! But also nose, lips, forehead, chin and teeths are very different. I've never mixed them up, believe or not, not even in Star Wars. Both are beautiful, I don't have nothing against neither of them, all the contrary, it's just that I really can't see that "amazing look alike" at all. On the contrary I think that the resemblance between Keira and Winona Ryder is by far much more truthfull and obvious. In regard to Natalie, she doesn't bear a strong resemblance with anybody, in any case a bit with Rose Byrne, most of all the facial expression (the eyes look and lips and smile).

Up untill couple years ago I thought they were same person =)
I didn't even know that they were both in star wars! I thought only one of them was until it was revealed. I do get them mixed up. In some pictures I can't tell who is who. If I look carefully or watch them for awhile, I can guess though.
